There are twelve men in Nadiia’s family at the frontline – her son, son-in-law, nephews, brothers. No matter how much pain it causes, Nadiia remains resilient. Back in 2014, the war touched her family and hasn’t let go since. A powerful volunteer movement has been created in Vysoke village, Zhytomyr region, where Nadiia lives. The woman recalls an occasion that united even more people. During one of the shellings, a missile fell near the church, got stuck in the mud, but miraculously did not explode. This led to a new surge in volunteer activity.
