On February 25, Natalia’s daughter, Toma, was diagnosed with coronavirus. By that time, the girl had been living with an inoperable brain tumour for more than six months. During the shelling, Toma became very ill. She weighed 21 kg. She hardly ate anything. On March 2, the horror began. The enemy shelled the children’s clinic where the girl was being treated. All the windows and doors were blown out. Only one doctor and three nurses remained of the medical staff. The family was told to pack their belongings and flee the hospital. Toma’s great-grandmother died and her aunt was injured.
