During the full-scale invasion, Oleksandra-Anna was at her grandparents' house. "Sasha, it's started," her grandfather said in the morning. But the girl did not believe him. She went out to the balcony, heard explosions, and thought it was a prank.
"My parents called me. They told me to come to them. At that time they had two foster children, now they have five. We did not plan to leave. We believed that the war could not last so long.
My parents are an example for us. I started looking for people who sent ‘humanitarian aid’, and they delivered food to the occupied territories and helped the military. We were offered to leave, but we have to support those who are here," said Oleksandra-Anna, a resident of Kyiv.
