Yurii stayed in Kyiv from the very beginning of the full-scale war. He remembers the empty streets, the feeling of confusion that later gave way to determination. His son immediately joined the Territorial Defence Forces, defended Irpin, then fought at the front and was wounded. After everything he has been through, Yurii says he no longer has fear, only faith in Ukraine’s victory and the belief that russia will definitely be held accountable for what it has done.
