Oksana is the winner of an essay contest organized by the "Voices of the Peaceful" Museum of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. Her story is a narrative about the diary of war which Oksana kept from the first day of the invasion. The recordings helped the girl to cope with the psychological pressure brought on by the enemy invasion. Enemy planes were being shot down above her house, and missiles were flying. The Kovalyk family provided shelter to refugees from Bashtanka who had lost their homes due to shelling.
