Nina met the beginning of the war in 2022 under occupation. It seemed like the worst thing that could happen, but on the night of August 28, 2025, a missile hit her house. She and her son were in the basement when the explosion buried everything under stones and bricks, and smoke flooded the space. They had to get out under shelling, still not understanding the scale of the destruction. Only in the morning did it become clear: half of the house was destroyed, the neighbors were killed. The fact that Nina and her child survived, she calls a real miracle.
