Nadiia did not leave Zabuiannia. She explains his decision simply: someone had to feed the Ukrainian soldiers who defended the village. What sounds simple actually meant living under shelling for almost a month, without light, communication, spending the night in a cellar and risking life every second. But her mission was more important. She and her husband cooked on an old stove, and her son took food to the soldiers.
Finally, the day came when Nadiia learned that Ukrainian tanks were traveling along the Zhytomyr highway. She took the flag, got on a bicycle and went to meet the 95th brigade. And she presented her flag to the foreman of that brigade.
