Viktor Kovalenko

"I got a contusion after the shelling of my village, I was in hospital for two weeks"

Viktor Kovalenko lives in the village of Kamianka. He decided to stay in his native land and defend his home. At the beginning of the full-scale war, the Territorial Defence was organised in Kamianka. However, the village is located 15 kilometres from the Russian border, making it particularly vulnerable to the enemy. The shelling takes place very quickly, and often the locals do not have time to hide. During another shelling of the village by Russians, Viktor was injured and spent two weeks in hospital, but he did not leave his home village.
