"I carried my mother in my arms to the shelter"

My mother had a stroke three years ago. I've been taking care of her all this time. We can't leave our home because of this. We live on the outskirts of Yenakiieve, which was considered densely populated in peacetime. When the hostilities began, many people left their homes. I had to carry my mother in my arms to hide her during the attacks.

All the time we lived in fear, because we could not stand the rattling any more. I had to drag my mother to the basement to hide.
