"It took me a while to realize that I was hit in the leg by shrapnel"

My mother and I got under the shelling on the street in February 2015. It took me a moment to realize that I had been hit in the leg by shrapnel. That day six people were killed under fire.

People were hiding in nearby buildings, and we ran to the hospital. A sharp pain shot through my leg, I was dragging it along.

My sisters support me mentally, but it took a long time to recover physically. I still suffer from pains, but they are not so strong after rehabilitation. This year, I even went back to the dance, where I hadn't been in two years.
