Liudmyla is the wife of a Georgian man who predicted after the 2008 war in Georgia that Ukraine would be next. So unlike many, her family was mentally prepared for the invasion. Two days before February 24, they gathered in a narrow circle on her husband’s birthday and discussed a plan of action in case of war. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, Liudmyla heard the explosions and immediately started calling her family and friends to warn them. Later, she, her mother and daughter left for Germany via Kamianets-Podilskyi, Lviv and Poland. But in the summer of 2022, she decided to return to Ukraine. Today, Liudmyla continues to work at the museum. There, she dismantled and hid all the exhibits in advance, preparing for a possible seizure of Kyiv.
