Olena works as an agronomist in Korolivka. On the first day of the war, her son came to her with his pregnant wife and his son, who was 2.5 years old. Olena and her son joined the Territorial Defense forces. She delivered bandages, hemostatic and pain relief medications, and food to the soldiers. Olena helped people leave Korolivka when russians had been shelling the village with "Hrads", first of all, elderly people who could not do that on their own. Olena evacuated about a hundred people in total.
