About 50 people living in our village; All shops, pharmacies, and public transport are not working.
We are the only remaining family with children here. We go to the hospital in Novomykhailivka, and this is four kilometers from Paraskoviivka on a broken road... we often go there to buy food and medications.
There are two streets and 30 residential buildings in Paraskoviivka, but almost no people are left there. We moved here in despair. Our house in Mariinka was located within the firing line area and was partially destroyed. Last summer, shells hit the neighbours' house.Three children were wounded. We also got a few rackets in our garden, ten meters from the house.
We were scared to stay there with our children. And the house in Paraskoviivka was inherited from my grandmother. It was wrecked, the roof leaked, and there was no water supply.
We survived on social benefits and part-time jobs. My husband couldn't find a job for a long time. I did some garden works or repairs – whatever was offered to get some earnings. Our only hope is to gather the harvest from the vegetable gardens.
