“In the cell, I slept on the floor and put my boots under my head”

Her house in Mariupol burned down in the spring of 2022 during shelling. Since that day, Nataliia Perkova and her family had been living in a small basement for over a month. In early April, shelling continued around the clock. For 10 days, Nataliia and her family could not leave the basement even for a minute. They fled the city in an old 1975 Zhihuli car. They were afraid that the car would fall apart on the road. But another ordeal awaited them. Nataliia and her sister were detained in Manhush for their subscription to the Azov page on social media. They were sent to Dokuchayevsk. Two days in a cell, filtration… Fortunately, on the third day, the sisters were released…
