Yuliia recalls the terrible day in Kharkiv when an enemy shell fell near the school. At that very moment, her son was playing football with his friends. The blast was horrific, the boy’s entire body was injured, his internal organs were damaged, and his heel was torn off. Those who happened to be nearby provided assistance. Artur helped apply the tourniquet. It took a very long time to stop the bleeding, and because of that, the child spent a day in intensive care, with three blood transfusions performed. The boy survived, but his leg could not be saved. Now Artur walks with a prosthesis, but Yulia assures that he lives a normal life, goes to the cinema and bowling with his friends, and his circle of communication has not changed.
Yuliia shared this story at the sanatorium during Artur’s rehabilitation, which was organized for him by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
