Iryna Honcharova faced the war in Bakhmut. She lost everything she had but saved the most precious thing – her life! A few years before the invasion, the woman broke several vertebrae – an illness that confined her to bed. Even in those hopeless conditions, Iryna managed to get back on her feet and later set up her own business. She began raising chickens and pigs, making stews. When the front came too close, she left to stay with her daughter in Kyiv. She entrusted her household to a neighbouring couple. Later, Iryna learned that her neighbours died a horrible death. Several mines exploded directly in their yard.
