“Older people were dying of hunger”

Victoria Shmyhel was a bomb shelter superintendent in one of the schools in Lysychansk. She volunteered to help those who needed help amid shelling.  People were dying of shelling and hunger. One woman who survived the Second World War suffered a complete mental collapse while hiding in a bomb shelter.
