"The heart stopped twice. The spleen, kidney, and lungs were punctured"

Punctured lungs, spleen, kidneys—a body torn apart by shrapnel. Natalia worked as a cab driver in Kramatorsk. Returning home from work, she came under terrible shelling and was pierced by several pieces of shrapnel. The woman's heart stopped twice, but doctors at the Kramatorsk hospital pulled her back from the brink of death. What followed was a long, morally, physically, and financially taxing recovery process. The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation helped Natalia save her arm and is doing everything possible to help her return to a normal life.
