“We spent three days in the basement. It was very damp and cold there. The occupiers started shelling us with phosphorus bombs. Everything caught fire around us. Rockets were flying, houses were burning.
We decided to go wherever we could. There was a lull for 5 minutes, and we fled our home. We opened the cages and let all the animals out: chickens, geese, dogs. There was no room in the car, so we put our neighbor on the hood and drove away,” says Nataliia Chornoivan.
