Olena Huzhyna, an English teacher who survived the terrible days of Borodyanka's occupation. The girl's mother works in the intensive care unit of Borodyanka hospital. It was there that the first wounded were brought after the air raids on the town. These were victims with severed limbs in extremely serious condition.

Pregnant women and children were hiding in the hospital. Olena recalls how women in labor came down to the basement with their newborn babies. After russian planes bombed the high-rise buildings in the center of Borodianka, volunteers began to take people out of the town at their own risk.
