Despite my age, I do my own chores — chop wood and stoke the furnace. I can't rely on someone else's help.

I can't rely on someone else's help

The nearest settlement is 25 kilometers away. Public transport does not run here. There are no people to carry. The village is almost empty. There are no shops or pharmacies. We only hope for humanitarian aid.
