"My first thought was that this was my last day of life"

Sofiia works near Okhmatdyt children's hospital (Kyiv). On the fateful day of July 8, 2024, her husband called her and asked her to hide in the shelter of the hospital. But something seemed to stop the girl and she saw with her own eyes how a Russian missile hit the children's hospital. She saw little children and their mothers being carried out, all covered in blood. For Sofiia, who is soon to become a mother, it was particularly horrifying.
