Hiding from the bombing, Svitlana, along with her two daughters and three grandchildren, spent a long time in the basement of a private house. There was almost no food, and the family was afraid to go outside because a russian tank was constantly on duty near the house. Women and children were interrogated barefoot in the cold. After Borodianka was liberated, Svitlana’s daughters went abroad, while she remained in Ukraine, despite the fact that her own apartment was destroyed.
