"It was very scary to hear and see explosions, the death of children and adults"

The war in the Donbass lasts for three years – the time before and after. Before... we had  work, peace, calm, and after... we have  destruction and waiting time, hope and faith that the war is about to end.

Our family is small, it consists of three people. My son is 12 years old. We live in Donetsk, we like to spend time together. We go fishing, to the park.

At the beginning of the war, we went to another city and lived there for seven months, we really wanted to go home.

At the beginning of 2015, we returned to our favorite city, home. The son started going to school, which was partially destroyed. For some time, children studied remotely due to the difficult situation.

At first, it was scary to go out, we stayed at home. It was very scary to hear and see explosions, the death of children and adults, the destruction of neighboring areas and houses. Many things will remain in your memory that you would like to delete and forget.

Thanks to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for the opportunity to improve our children's health. I saw information about summer vacation on the Foundation's website and applied for it by calling the hotline. And for the second year, our son and other children are recovering by the sea. And this year  they rest there with their friends.

Thanks to the Foundation, children have the opportunity to relax, improve their health, and work with psychologists for two weeks.

We hope to meet again next year, but the main thing is for peace to come.
