Yevheniy Sakun, a 49-year-old cameraman, was killed during the shelling of the Kyiv TV tower. He worked at LIVE channel.
When the rockets hit, he was just walking past the TV tower.
The explosion was so powerful that it burnt everything on its way to a radius of several kilometers. People who were in the street nearby didn’t have any chance to survive. Yevheniy’s body was burnt so much that he was recognized only by his press card.
“The profession of a cameraman is usually masculine, aggressive, and dominating in a creative body… Instead, Yevheniy was so far from any conflicts, tender and kind-hearted,” — said Fedir Balandin about his groupmate.
Yevheniy was buried in Baikove cemetery in Kyiv.
