Explosions, panic, the feeling that everything around was unreal — that’s how the morning of February 24, 2022, felt for Iryna Komarnytska. She recalls that her husband was working as a driver at the “Seventh Kilometer” market at that time. She immediately called him, but everyone there had already started running.

Iryna’s husband went to the front to defend the country, but he was seriously wounded. From that moment began a ten-month struggle for his life. “He had a head injury; he was unconscious for ten months and fought for ten months, but he didn’t make it,” Iryna says. She still cries a lot and cannot believe that her husband is gone.
