Liubov stayed in occupied Berdiansk for the first three months after the start of the full-scale invasion, while her boyfriend went to defend Mariupol. Being under constant threat, Liubov was always worried about her boyfriend: “I was scared on the street, and I was scared at home. I understood that the russians could come to me at any moment.” She decided to leave her hometown. Liubov, along with other people who were also trying to evacuate, spent three days in a car convoy, spending the night right in the middle of a field. The occupiers deliberately did not allow civilians to enter the territory controlled by Ukraine.

Currently, the girl is fighting for the release of her lover, who was captured by russia and sentenced to 22 years in prison.
