February 24 was supposed to be an ordinary school day for Sofiia, but early in the morning she heard that the war had begun. She spent the first night in the basement with her parents, not understanding how to go on living. At first the family stayed in Kyiv, but after a strike nearby they left for Chernivtsi. They returned right after the liberation of Kyiv region — because it is impossible to spend your whole life only being afraid and hiding. But even now, when a fragment of a “shahed” fell not far away, the girl realised she had become too sensitive to loud sounds. All she dreams about is a peaceful life without losses and alarms.
