I have five daughters, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. I'm proud to have such a large family. But it fell apart when the war began.

As soon as the war started, everyone left our village. Mostly elderly people remained here. There are almost no young people left, there is no work either.

We live in a wrecked house, which will soon be 100 years old. Walking down the street is scary– the houses are empty, everything is dark, there is no one to talk to.

It takes a lot of wood to heat it. Even together we can't afford such expenses. So we get cold a lot. What is there left to do? We wrap up and sit. In order to survive when it's cold, we store up food and plant vegetable gardens.
