"Our area got in the firing line"

We have lived in Artemivsk with our disabled son for two years. We are gradually getting used to the new place, but every time the conversation drifts to my home-town, I cry. It's hard,.I want to come home,  because I love Donetsk.

However, we couldn't stay in Donetsk. Our area got in the firing line. And most importantly, it was impossible for my son to continue his rehabilitation.

I take care of the child myself. I  spend all my time with, going through hard effort. Luckily, the results are visible. The son began to understand the words, even trying to answer some questions.

Everything was fine until he got the flu when he was a child. He was diagnosed with a congenital tumor which began to progress after the flu. He spent 19 days of intensive care and got a disability.

Denis had a surgery — the tumor was removed. Now he is learning to walk and talk again.
