Artem lost his father in the war. He was killed at the front line. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the boy's family has been under occupation. In order to get out of there, Artem, his younger sister and mother had to cross the river on homemade boats because the bridge was blown up. Volunteers helped them cross to the other side. The boy was most worried about his mother. Artem will always remember the missiles flying over their house.
He told his war story during the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation's Peaceful Recreation for Children of Ukraine recreation project.
