"We were unable to find money for the surgery for a long time, and it had to be done immediately"

My twin sons Mark and Bohdan are four months old. They were born prematurely, with a congenital brain pathology, weighing less than a kilogram each. They urgently needed surgery. We are internal refugees from Luhansk. "We were unable to find money for the surgery for a long time, and it had to be done immediately. We rent a house. Apart from Mark and Bohdan, we also have a three-year-old son.

We contacted the Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center. It purchased tanks for the children, which was the first stage of the surgery.

Then we bought ventriculoperitoneal shunts that help cope with the amount of fluid that accumulates in the brain. At the beginning of the summer, the twins had their first surgery. Their condition improved within a week.

Several other surgeries were scheduled for the summer. Neurosurgeons have performed exquisite workmanship to save our babies.
