"The war started and our family was left almost without funds to live for"

I am 34 years old and married. My family consists of four people: me, my husband and two children. My son is 12 years old and my daughter is 11 years old.

We live in the city of Makiivka of Donetsk region. I work in the public sector (health care), my husband  works in the coal industry.

Unfortunately, in 2012, my daughter became seriously ill and was diagnosed with idiopathic focal epilepsy. This is very difficult to take, and the medications that need to be taken are very expensive.

In 2014, when the war began, our family was left almost without funds to live for. We didn't get paid for six months. It was also very difficult to purchase medicines for the child.

A little later, our doctor suggested that there is a Fund "Aid", which helps with food and medicines to unprotected segments of the population. We went there and they helped us. I want to say a big thank to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation "Aid".

Now, unfortunately, the mines do not work, so my husband lost his job. If it wasn't for the Foundation, I don't know how I would have treated the child. After all, she can not stop taking drugs.

It is good that there are people who care about the misery of others. Thanks again! Only kindness and love for your neighbor will save the world!
