Natalia has lived her entire life in Pavlivka, a small village in the Donetsk region. Her happiest and most challenging days were spent there.

When the war broke out, the village was subjected to Russian shelling and later occupied.  Nataliia Petrivna stayed at home, hoping the situation would resolve quickly.  Unfortunately, things only worsened.  People began to disappear, foreign soldiers walked down her street, and most importantly, she felt that the life she once knew was over. It was terrifying to think about fleeing. The roads were under fire, and cars carrying civilians were being destroyed. However, she knew she could not stay. She took only the most essential belongings and set off at her own risk.
