Mines were exploding two metres away, but the hardest thing for Valerii was to see people dying. On March 6, 2022, the Muschytskyi couple packed their belongings into a car. Mortar shelling began. Valerii and his wife barely had time to hide in the house when the first mine hit, followed by the second. They miraculously survived, but lost everything. A fragment killed the dog and smashed the car. Only the remains of the foundation are left on the site of the family farm. Valeriш entrusted his war story to the Museum of Civilian Voices and donated a piece of the mine that destroyed his house to the exhibition.
