"We were hiding in the basement for three months, and my baby died because of it."

We have been living under fire for three years. I want to cry from fear and despair. Who will restore the destroyed house? So much work has been put into it!

We were hiding in the basement for three months, and my baby died because of it.

On the outskirts of Zolote, there is almost no one left, and the windows in the houses are boarded up. Entire high-rise buildings were abandoned. People abandoned everything, running away from the war. And those who remain live in constant fear.

We were hiding in the basement for three months, and my baby died because of it.

Our neighbor died a step away from the entrance, he lacked one second to escape. This happened in January 2015. We had hits on the street and in houses, and in playgrounds. The child was injured.

In 2014, we were hiding in the basement for three months. Food was cooked over a fire. I was six months pregnant at the time. And all the situations did not pass without a trace. A week after birth, the child died of intrauterine asphyxiation. These were the consequences of these basements. But even after such a horror, I did not give up the dream of a daughter and gave birth to Alevtina.

Yes, it is difficult for us. We live in a dilapidated apartment, where only two of the four rooms are residential. The shock wave damaged the walls, floor, and furniture. What do we have to restore it for? Does it make sense to restore anything at all?
