"We are admitted to hospitals very often"

Karyna is 10 years old. Daughter loses her hearing and speech after each epileptic seizure. She has to take medication every day, but we don't have much money for that. Before the war started, we lived in Horlivka and received medication for free. She has been disabled since childhood – and we received medication under the state program every month, but now there is no such program in Horlivka.

At the age of three, Karyna was diagnosed with acute leukemia. She was cured. but complications followed - brain swelling. Karyna was losing her hearing and started having epileptic seizures.

Our family's income is not enough for even half of the treatment medications, and the course cannot be interrupted not even for a day. Cheap medications do not stop the seizures. We stay in hospitals almost all the time. The Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center helps us with medications.
