Alla recalls how on February 24 she woke up from the sound of rockets. Confused and a little panicked, Alla began to stock up on everything she could: she filled containers with water, prepared dough for bread, because she was afraid there would be no electricity and no food. Alla and her daughter began to cook for the defenders: they baked bread, cooked borshch, made varenyky. Volunteer work became an inseparable part of their life. Alla, together with other women, gathers every week to bake up to 30 boxes of pies and flatbreads for the military.
