Nelia Fedorivna was in Donetsk when the full-scale war began. Her daughter and grandson were in Mariupol. From the first days of March 2022, when communication was lost, Nelia Fedorivna did not know whether her children were alive. She thought about how to get her daughter out of Mariupol and how to get out of Donetsk themselves. This was only achieved at the beginning of June. The family reunited in Kyiv. Now they are waiting for Ukraine's victory and dreaming of returning home.
