Oleksandr is one of those who survived the massive attack on Kyiv, when two russian missiles struck a residential building. The night of August 28 began with explosions of “Shaheds.” The family woke up and ran into the corridor — it was what saved their lives, because just a moment later the house shook from the impact. Smoke, dust, and panic — at first it seemed that a missile had hit the neighboring building. But when Oleksandr ran outside, he saw: half of their building was destroyed, everything was on fire, and enemy “Shaheds” kept attacking the area. The stress and shock of what had happened gave way, by morning, to the main realization: he had been saved by a real miracle, and therefore — he had to keep on living.
