On the night of August 28, 2025, two russian missiles destroyed the building where Iryna lived. She was saved by the fact that she managed to go down to the basement that had been equipped as a shelter. Her mother stayed in the apartment… Iryna had never imagined what it meant to be trapped under rubble, and now she knows for sure — smoke, dust, debris, people’s screams, and desperate attempts to find a way out. She barely made it outside while everything around was burning, and, to the sound of “shaheds,” ran to another shelter. She survived, but together with the building, the explosions took away the most precious thing — the world in which her mother lived.
