Lidiia still remembers the loud explosions and the russian invasion of the town of Bucha in Kyiv region. From the first day of the full-scale invasion, her family went down to the basement of their house and almost never left. In early March, enemy military vehicles drove down the street where Lidiia lived: APCs and tanks. Subsequently, electricity, gas and communication were cut off.
On March 9, Lidiia's family decided to take a chance and leave Bucha. The woman will never forget this trip. russians pointed weapons at their car, and the family had to drive through minefields.
Lidiia’s husband took the family to Truskavets, then returned to defend Kyiv region. He participated in the liberation of Irpin and Bucha. Today, Lidiia works at the ADONIS clinic, where she helps Ukrainian soldiers and civilians undergo rehabilitation.
