Borys turned 60 on February 23. The very next day, his life changed dramatically. Rockets flew in the Ukrainian sky. His village was instantly united. Men built checkpoints, women wove camouflage nets. People did not count money or time, giving everything for the sake of a common goal. Volunteers from the village began baking cookies and making dry rations for military hospitals. Boris was particularly proud of the so-called "kitchen army", which organized the baking of sweets for the soldiers. Boris dreams of a peaceful life and for his grandchildren to grow up in Ukraine without explosions, without losses, and without fear.
