Artem’s family lives in a village near Kharkiv. When heavy shelling began at the start of the full-scale invasion, the family moved to another village, to their grandmother, where it was cozier. Artem’s grandfather was defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and sustained a head wound. He died in the hospital.
