Dominika is the daughter of a border guard from Mariupol. While their father was defending the city, she was surviving in it with her mother. He recalls how the multi-story building where they were hiding was destroyed by shells and fire. They escaped death several times!
They didn't know about father's fate for a long time. As well as the fact that he was captured. When her father was exchanged, Dominika and her mother were still in the occupied territory. Because they lost some of the documents in a fire. They had been preparing for the departure for several months, and finally, the family reunited!
Dominika told her story while having a rest at the "Blogger Camp". It was organized by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation in collaboration with the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada.
