Iryna is a native of Mariupol. Her city has forever remained in her heart – now not just as a fond memory, but as a deep wound. On the eve of the full-scale invasion, she went to Dnipro for rehabilitation and never returned to her native Mariupol. A deeply religious person, Iryna believes that it was God Himself who saved her from the worst and helped her rebuild her life in Dnipro.
Iryna was given accommodation in the dormitory of the YaMariupol Centre. Here she sees her fellow countrymen every day, who support each other and pray for peace, for Ukraine and for one day to set foot on the land of their home again.
