Yeva was 8 years old when the enemy invaded Borodianka and began to destroy the village. She tells us about the long journey the family had to make to get to safety. She also recounts how the exact same Russian fighter jet that destroyed the monument to Shevchenko flew over their car and was shot down a few minutes later just outside the village.
Now the girl performs at Zarevo children's theatre studio, which helps little Borodianka residents regain the feeling of a peaceful childhood.
