"When they started bombing our city, we registered our marriage"

I want to share my story, which radically changed my life. I was born and raised in the city of Alchevsk, where I lived until 2014.

When the war began, I had to move to the city of Shchastia to live with my friends, with whom I studied at a boarding school for the disabled people. Here I met my classmate, who gave me a temporary residence permit and registered me as a migrant.

Then, as they say, there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped. After a while, a classmate asked me to become his wife. In 2014, when they began to bomb and shell our city, during this difficult time, we registered our marriage. And I am grateful to God for my fate.

We've been through a difficult time together, and we've been living together and supporting each other for three years now.

I want to say a special thank to everyone who helped us when we were left without a pension and food.

God bless  all volunteers and ordinary people, I wish you good health. I also wish peace and human happiness to all of us.
