“You cannot prepare for war”

Two missiles hit near the Taras Shevchenko National Museum in the center of Kyiv. It happened in October 2022. The building was damaged by shrapnel. The staff and exhibits, worth about 5 billion hryvnias, were not harmed. The Kobzar’s heritage was moved to a safe place long time before that. Despite the war, the museum is open. Dmytro Stus, the museum’s director general, tells his story.
