Yevhen and Yuliana Laschenko

Story from Oleksiy Sukhanov: "Yugen did not expect this from his wife!"

Before the Great War, Yevhen and Yuliana lived in two cities: Mariupol and Bucha. During the occupation, they could take strangers out of Bucha who were refused by others. Then they started volunteering and stayed in Uzhhorod, where Yevhen helped IDPs, and Yuliana finally realised her small and big dreams.

How did the couple survive the occupation? What were their emotions after crossing the Ukrainian checkpoint? What made Yuliana's dream come true? How did the young family from Mariupol and Bucha adapt to Uzhhorod? And what are their future plans?

Oleksiy SUKHANOV, a well-known TV presenter and ambassador of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, told the Museum of Civilian Voices their story.
